Role Description

Our client is a developer of state of the art software whose flagship product, they are making waves in the large and expanding market for document management solutions. Our client is ideally positioned to disrupt this multi-billion dollar market that has been dominated by traditional complex and expensive enterprise content management solutions. Our client is a global organisation with over 200 employees as well as offices and representation worldwide.

Our clients enterprise content management (ECM) solutions transform how businesses control, secure and share information with a unique metadata-powered approach that organises and processes content based on what it is, rather than where it resides. Thousands of businesses spread over 100 countries use our client’s service on-premise, in the cloud or in hybrid environments.

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in driving the success of the UK team. You will need to grasp the fundamentals of the their document management software solution, have an engaging personality and professional approach that will enable you to connect with prospective customers, evaluate their needs and communicate how our client will improve their business.

Main Responsibility 

Specifically, the Inside Sales Representative will need to:

  • Identify, prospect, and contact new prospective customer accounts.
  • Qualify potential customers via phone or email.
  • Research and identify prospective customer contacts using company websites, web searches, networking tools such as LinkedIn and other social media tools.
  • This role will consist of a mixture of cold calling, marketing campaign follow up, and following up on inbound leads.
  • Inform prospects and customer of the value of our client’s Enterprise Content Management, and gain their commitment to attend either a follow up call, web demo or face to face meeting with one of the Account Executives.

Key Competencies 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role in a technology-centric environment. A history of success of prospecting and business development in one or more of the following areas: Document Management, ECM, Database, ERP, and CRM solutions is strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

Our client is looking for a strong combination of skills across a number of areas.

Candidates must meet one or more of the following minimum requirements in order to be considered:

 

  • 2 years experience working in an inside sales/prospecting role for or on behalf of a technology company
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self motivated and organised, able to effectively manage own activities and tasks
  • Enthusiastic and self-starting approach
  • Excellent relationship building
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based environments and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven strong work ethic and ability to effectively build and manage a sales pipeline
  • An ability to listen to the customer provide a consultative approach to prospecting

•             Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g. Dynamics CRM, Salesforce.com)
